5 out of 5 stars Works with the Sony NP-BG1 battery   July 11, 2010
E. Nabors
This charger works perfectly with a Sony NP-BG1 battery. The only wrinkle (and I suspect this may explain some of the problems people who gave it one star were having) is that you have to put the battery in backwards, i.e. so the back of the battery faces out.

I too noticed that the green light came on just from plugging it in, and putting the battery in with the front facing out did nothing. I was about to throw the charger out when my wife (being of an infinitely calmer mind at that point) tried putting the battery in backwards. On came the red light, the battery charged up perfectly, and all was well.

Don't let the cheap price scare you away. Buy this charger.

5 out of 5 stars works just like the original   June 27, 2010

This product is nice because it also comes with a car charger. Good price, even if it doesn't last long. The original Sony charger was $55 retail.

Works like it is supposed to. Simple and easy to use. Just pay attention to the battery direction.

5 out of 5 stars Works well   June 17, 2010

was very skeptical about this cheapy-looking no-name product, but after a year of ownership, I have had no problems with it. It works well both plugged into the car or to a power outlet in the house.

bought it for my sony dsc-t100 camera battery, the NP BG1
