Nice Bag, but Small December 23, 2008 M. D. Roach (Dublin, oh United States) Ordered this bag for my Nikon D80, Since I only intend to cary one lens, sunshade and extra sd card, charger and usb cable I thought this would be fine and okay when I wanted to bring along the SB-800 speed light. Well this is not going to be the case. The bag it's self is nice enough but it just cant easily accomidate the robust body of the d80 if you want to bring anything else. I think if I dump everything else from the bag I may be able to fit the flash, camera and one lens (so no charger or cables) so I will probably keep it for quick trips where I wont be downloading or charging. If you have a similar sized DSLR and want to carry more than the absolute basics look for a larger bag.
Tamrac Khaki Express 6 September 14, 2008 Aloha I like it! It's well made and has a classy look and feel. I might get another and use it just as a 'bag'. I wear it across the shoulder so it feels very secure and safe. The flap that covers the camera bag is large and has both a velcro and plastic connector to keep it secure. The velcro has come in handy when I've forgotten to engaged the plastic connector. This is not a large bag. A Canon Xsi,28-135zoom lens/lens shade and a 430ex flash fills the inside. There are quite a few compartments on the outside for cell phone, ipod, wallet, memory cards etc.
Fully loaded it is a very comfortable camera bag.
Like it! August 30, 2008 Anon, Arlington, VA It is a perfect size for my Nikon D40 with the two lenses (18-55 and 55-200), plus a few other things.
I like the fact that it was not the stereotypical black camera bag.
I really don't like the handle, though. I would be careful. One day it came loose on me, and I almost dropped the entire bag on the sidewalk as I was walking.
Great small dSLR camera bag! August 20, 2008 Matthew 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got this bag when I purchased my first dSLR because I liked how it didn't look like your typical camera bag. It's similar to a Euro-style messenger bag, and when I recently took it through it's paces in Prague, Vienna, and Budapest I never felt worried that people knew what expensive items lay hidden inside ;) The quality seems top-notch, and the yellow suede accents add a touch of luxury to the bag. The main compartment comes with cushioned dividers that allow you to make three sections. With some rearraging, I was able to fit my D40, 18-55mm, 55-200mm, and a 50mm prime snugly, but not too tightly. There are also several well-concealed zippered pockets for filters, lens cleaner, or even a wallet or some cash. Everything seems well-cushioned enough that I wouldn't be worried if I dropped it.
All in all, I'm extremely happy with the bag, and I'd recommend it to anyone with a entry-level dSLR camera who wants to carry around 2 or 3 small/medium-sized lenses.
