4 out of 5 stars Very Useful Camera Bag   January 9, 2009
Gary A. Andrew
I carry a Canon 5d, with two zoom lenses, one wide angle, and a flash in this bag along with filters, manuals, and other misc. items. The bag is not cramped with all these items, and it is easy to use as a platform while standing to help change lenses without sitting down or taking off the satchel.

The bag is very well made, and the equipment compartments are easy to adjust. There is room for minor improvement. My only complaint about the bag is the fasten strap & clip. They are essential to ensure the bag doesn't fly open and dump your equipment when you lift by the handle -- the velcro on the flap is not intended to carry this much weight. The clip is difficult to fasten when the bag is loaded, so it's tempting to leave it undone. I've not made this mistake yet, but I it is a risk.

Overall, I'd recommend this bag for walking, hiking, and storing photography equipment.

5 out of 5 stars Great Case for walking around   December 9, 2008
rjgsphinx (Marietta, GA)
This is the perfect case if you do not want to say "STEAL MY CAMERA STUFF". It looks like a messenger bag unless you look close. (then you notice it is wider that a normal messenger) It holds all the equipment that you need for a full day out or travel in a foreign city (why I bought it). It does not seal tight so it would not be the best bag for dusty environments, and it is "water resistant" which I do not plan to test. (I will carry a bag in it to cover it with if it starts to rain)

One of the great things is I will carry my camera equip and still have room for normal items. (Jacket, book, binoculars, etc.)

The Velcro is LOUD. If you plan to open it in a quiet local then you will be noticed, but it will be great if someone tries to get into it in the subway or street without you noticing.

Overall, I would highly recommend this bag.

5 out of 5 stars Perfect medium size bag.   November 18, 2008

To be honest I was worried about the "man-purse" look of this bag. After getting my gear in it I could not be happier. Very easy to organize compartments. I was able to get my D90 w/grip attached, Flash, three lenses, and charger with some room to spare.

I was also very impressed with the quality of this bag. My wife even looked at their website for a bag for herself and she is on the verge of being a purse snob.

5 out of 5 stars better than Domke F2   October 14, 2008

After using the 6 million dollar for a couple of years, the need to upgrade came and it was between the Domke F2 and the 7 Million Dollar home glad to say the Crumpler won. It holds a D80 with an 18-200, a D50 with an 85mm, a 70-300mm with 2x telecoverter, a 12-24mm and an sb-600 along with all of the usual accessories and the loops on the side will accommodate lens filters (I recommend the Tamrac MX-S5363 - SAS Compact Filter Case) and a couple of Thirsty Al's.

The only con is that the velcro is loud.

And it looks better than the Domke F2 as well.

5 out of 5 stars Great quality bag   September 30, 2008
Oscar Chang Neyra (Lima , Peru)
This bag is very well made. Materials are first quality and you get what is described by the manufacturer.

I like that it won't be identified as a camera bag right away.

Though I wouldn't say a soft bag this size is designed to be primarily carried using the handle on it, that is one thing that could be improved, because when its held with it the closure of the bag is not as good as when it's held with the shoulder belt. Perhaps adding a short piece of fabric like the ones many backpacks have for ensuring closure of the main compartment would make it even better.

I would buy it again and recommend it as a good investment.
