4 out of 5 stars Nice but be careful   August 30, 2010

We use these when we go jet-skiing for our Olympus 8000.

It WILL hold your camera at water level if dropped just barely.
It will not tighten around your wrist.
And double tie the strap because it can and will break or pop loose.

4 out of 5 stars good for snorkeling   August 28, 2010

I bought the strap for snorkeling with my Olympus waterproof camera. You definitely need some kind of floatable strap for the camera since it sinks. I like having the strap because I don't have to constantly hold the camera in my hand or worry about dropping it. I do think it would be better if I could tighten the strap more. Even at its tightest, it could slip off the wrist. I would still recommend it for snorkeling.

5 out of 5 stars Does the job   August 25, 2010

It does the job. I used it with a new, fairly light, camera and it keeps it from sinking. The main reason I wanted to write a review is to say that the big, bulky, orange part can be detached from the part that attaches directly to the camera, and the part that attaches directly to the camera can be looped into the existing camera strap or hole. In other words, if you aren't going underwater and don't need the orange flotation piece, you can easily detach the orange part and have just a regular strap. When you're going underwater, the orange part easily re-attaches.

4 out of 5 stars Olympus Float Strap   August 25, 2010

I bought this for use with my Fujifilm Finepix XP10 (at the time I ordered my camera, the accessories weren't available). This worked just fine with the Fuji because the float strap attaches to your camera with a loop. The only thing I'd like is a longer cord so I can put the float around my upper arm and hold the camera instead of wearing it around my wrist, but I am sure there is a good reason for it being shorter (i.e. not letting depth-sensitive cameras drop below 10m).
