I was happy to order this item b/c it gave me options: stand-alone reader, or install in an empty case bay. And user reviews were very good, and the price was right. I ordered it.
Unfortunately, it will not read a 2GB SD card, which is the reason I bought it in the first place. Turns out, almost nobody advertises the capacities of card readers.
Now that it's much too late, I find the following information from the Startech site: The chipset for the 35FCREAD20BK can support up to 1G SD,MMC and MS card.
