French PHOTO November 11, 2008 F. McKee (N.H. - USA) I have not yet started to receive this subscription but, I have been buying single copies off the newsstand for several years. Although I do not speak French, this is an image publication with items primarily from Europe. French PHOTO gives a bit of visual perspective to those of us stuck on this side of the pond.
Best by far... June 14, 2008 Rincon6 (Los Angeles) This magazine explores the art of photography in true style and without false boundries. Even though the text is in French, they often reference an article's subject with a web link that you can explore or, of course, you can google the artist name and learn more about a particular work in English. Buy it at the newstand if you don't want the hastle of dealing with a subscription. The price is very reasonable considering it's an import.
OOH-LA-LA! September 6, 2007 Joe Bradley (Maui, HI) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
When an American photo magazine tests a new camera or lens, they all too often photograph some inane collection of poseable figurines on their desktop, or a boring vista of the office buildings out the editor's window. Photo-France often photographs nudes with their reviews. Strike a blow against the idiocy of 'Freedom Fries' and remember that France helped us win our Revolutionary War each time you buy an issue (at the newsstand).
