Product Description The Olympus PT-041 is a stylish and durable polycarbonate housing for the Olympus Stylus 790SW and 850SW digital camera. The housing is for anyone looking to pursue underwater digital photography when diving and snorkeling. The camera itself is waterproof to 10' for up to one hour, now it is possible to extend that depth and time limit. A tight O-ring main seal with safety lock, along with stainless steel and nickel-plated brass hardware, help to ensure protection from corrosion for years to come. Underwater camera housing. January 5, 2009 Nina M. (Denver) Although the camera is somewhat waterproof, it needs this housing for scuba diving. Unfortunately, the lens of the housing fogged up when we dived, even when we put a dry silicone bag in the camera housing. We, however, found an excellent solution to the problem by filling the housing with water, either fresh or salt water, and then closing it before we started the dive. Since the camera is waterproof, this caused no damage to the camera and the housing kept the high pressures from damaging the camera when we dived. It then worked very well and I would recommend it.
Great buy! September 18, 2008 Finbogg (Saint Paul, MN) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got this before a recent diving trip to go along with the Olympus 850sw. When it arrived I was pleasantly surprised to find that it really does give you access to all the buttons and camera functions (and that it is a heavy duty little case). It was much more functional and substantial than expected. It worked great on my dives (one down to 150ft) in terms of protection.
The only problem I had with it was that it fogged up even with the dessicant pack inside. The best fix for this I could find was to keep the camera cool before getting into the water. I think my fogging was caused by the big temperature difference that hit the camera after being out in the sun then hitting the water. When I kept the camera wrapped in a towel and out of the sun before and between dives, the fogging problem disappeared.

Simple and easy to use. Not counting the buttons, there is only one O-ring to worry about. The Housing buttons are well marked, and the size is suitable for a BC pocket. A nice take along rig.
