Worked! July 30, 2010 CJ A I was kind of hesitant to use this product but was convinced by the positive reviews.
All in all it worked fantastic! Just make sure you follow the instructions to TEST the unit.
The only reason I gave it three stars is that the neckstrap part of the product was starting to rip off from gentle use. I had to glue it back on! :'(
Also many of pictures came out blurry because of water droplets on the lens area, and part of the lens holder got in the way creating a sort of vignette on the picture.
Anyways, good product, pretty good quality and worth the money!
Waterproof Camera Case July 28, 2010 lantz This product is for sure one of the best purchases for your money. It works like a charm. I didn't want to spend crazy amounts of money on a waterproof camera since I already had perfectly good working camera. And I didn't want to use a throw away camera, because they just don't have the same quality photo.
I hesitantly gave my camera in the case to my niece and nephew when we were in the pool area with the DicaPac. After hours of fun. Still the camera is dry as a bone!!! Only issue I have is that once in a while if your not holding the camera properly, you'll get a funny shadow from the lens case. But you can always photo shop or crop it out. This item is the best thing I have bought in years for my camera!
As advertised July 5, 2010 thyra This case worked wonderfully for snorkeling in the Bahamas on our honeymoon. I did need to press all of the extra air out so that the camera didn't slide around and get the case in the pictures, but once I figured that out the pics came out great. The only thing missing is a lens cap so that it doesn't get scratched up.
Loves it, loves it.... July 4, 2010 T. Pham (Texas) I saw the review and went to youtube to check out the product then decide to try out since for $25, not much too loose if it didn't come out. But OMG, what a wonderful toy. Went to Schlitterbahn last weeknd and a lot of people ask me where I got it. Don't know how long it will last, but so far so good. Strongly recommend everyone to use it.
Waterproof case met the need June 22, 2010 Craig (Chicago) This case did the job during a rainforest hiking trip. I didn't use it underwater but it seems like it would work well there also. An important step is to select the correct size for your camera, and nothing on Amazon will help with that task. I ended up going to the Japanese company's web site for some clues on what size to order. Luckily, they show a diagram of the relevant measurements. Even though it was in Japanese, it was enough information to select the correct case. I noticed in other reviews that the camera could shift easily within the case. That's probably since they got the wrong size case for their camera. Mine didn't shift but it was tight getting the camera in and out, which was kind of a hassle.
Picture quality through the lens cover was pretty decent and the cover unscrews for removal. There is no documentation about that, but I assume that it can be removed so you don't need to shoot through another surface if you aren't in a wet area . Overall, it did the job, but it's a little expensive for a ziplock bag with a lens opening.
